About Us
Family-owned since 1999. Now 12 technicians strong — still the same flat-rate promise Mike started with.
Our Story
Mike Torres started Canyon Pipe & Drain out of his truck in 1999 with one rule: quote the job before you start, and charge exactly that. No hourly rates, no time-and-materials creep, no surprise invoices.
Twenty-five years later, that rule hasn’t changed. We’ve grown to 12 technicians and cover Charlotte and surrounding communities, but every estimate still goes through the same process: we assess, we quote, we get your approval, then we work.
We’re based at 4201 Congress St, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28209. We don’t subcontract and we don’t franchise. Every technician on your job is a Canyon Pipe & Drain employee.
What We Stand For
Mike holds a North Carolina Master Plumber license. All journeymen are licensed under that credential. We pull permits on every job that requires one.
$2M general liability coverage and workers’ compensation on every technician. Certificates available on request before any work starts.
Every technician completes annual training on code updates, new equipment, and safety protocols. No unlicensed helpers on any job.
Charlotte-owned, Charlotte-operated since 1999. We’re not a franchise or a call center. When you call, a local dispatcher answers.
The People
Owner & Master Plumber
Mike founded Canyon Pipe & Drain in 1999 after a decade working for a regional contractor. He holds a North Carolina Master Plumber license and built the company on a single principle: flat-rate pricing, every time. No surprises on the final invoice — ever.
Lead Technician
Mike's son Chris joined the company in 2015 after getting his journeyman license. He runs the emergency response team and is the tech Charlotte homeowners most often meet at 2am when a pipe has burst. He's fixed more slab leaks than anyone else on the crew.
Dispatch & Operations Manager
Lisa joined Canyon in 2018 and rebuilt the dispatch system from scratch. She's the reason techs arrive in under 60 minutes — her routing logic and technician coverage map have cut average response time by 40%. If you've ever gotten a same-day appointment, Lisa made it happen.
We respond in 60 minutes or less. Call now — no holds, no voicemail. Real dispatchers, real techs, real fast.
